Honoring a Legacy of Compassionate Leadership
North Beach Citizens is proud to celebrate a meaningful milestone in our organization’s history, our Executive Director, Kristie Fairchild, was recognized on April 14, 2026 by the San Francisco Board of Supervisors with a Certificate of Honor in appreciation of her public service.
Presented in the historic chambers of San Francisco City Hall and led by District Supervisor Danny Sauter, this recognition reflects more than two decades of unwavering commitment to serving the most vulnerable members of our community.
For over 20 years, Kristie has dedicated her work to ensuring that individuals experiencing or at risk of homelessness are met with dignity, respect, and real pathways to stability. Under her leadership, North Beach Citizens has remained grounded in a simple but powerful belief: that compassionate, community-based care can transform lives.
As stated in the official recognition:
“Kristie exemplifies the best of San Francisco’s values and compassionate care.”
This honor speaks not only to her leadership, but to the values that define our organization and our city—showing up for one another, especially in moments of greatest need.
Kristie’s impact can be seen every day in the lives of those we serve: individuals who have secured housing, seniors who have remained safely in their homes, and community members who have found connection and support when they needed it most.
This recognition also belongs to the broader North Beach Citizens community-our staff, partners, volunteers, and supporters-who carry this work forward each day with the same dedication and heart.
We are deeply grateful for this acknowledgment and proud to continue building a stronger, more compassionate San Francisco together.
