Our Impact
North Beach Citizens is a community-based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that utilizes the talents of the North Beach community to innovatively address the needs of our unhoused and extremely low-income citizens in an atmosphere of trust, integrity, and respect.
The organization was founded in 2001 by residents and merchants in the community who envisioned a program that would connect unhoused individuals in North Beach to the community to find solutions to becoming permanently housed.
To achieve this, we support three vital strategies by:
Expanding access to safe, stable housing and preventing homelessness before it occurs;
Strengthening community programs, including the Food Pantry and Street Beautification Program, to promote health, dignity, and neighborhood pride; and
Providing comprehensive case management services to connect clients with health insurance, mental health resources, and other essential

Stable housing, paired with relationship-based case management and reliable access to basic needs produces durable outcomes and reduces returns to homelessness.
