Evidence-Based Action
North Beach Citizens’ model is designed to support individuals experiencing homelessness or housing instability in achieving sustained housing, improved well-being, and meaningful connection to community.
As part of our initiative, we are committed to designing effective programs that align with federal, state, and city policies. This includes regularly reviewing current data trends and newly funded initiatives to ensure we connect clients with the most appropriate and impactful resources available.
UCSF Benioff
Homelessness & Housing Initiative
The UCSF Benioff Homelessness and Housing Initiative has conducted one of the largest empirical studies of homelessness and housing instability in the nation. Its findings reflect the trends North Beach Citizens has observed among those seeking assistance — including the significant growth in older adults experiencing housing insecurity, a pattern seen both statewide and nationally.
These findings also affirm the client-centered model of service we have delivered since 2001, designed to address the complex and intersecting barriers many individuals face on their path to stable housing and improved well-being.
Crankstart
Streets to Stability
The Crankstart Streets to Stability Report focused on findings specifically for San Francisco. This report aligns with North Beach Citizens values of efficiencies through coordination and non-duplication of services by the non-profit and public sectors.
